No Purpose, Carry On: Part 2

We keep on walking but there's nowhere to go.

On our backs, we carry the life-sustaining coal.

Where do we get it from and where does it go?

No one ever really truly knows.

Assembly-line lives are all that we know.

We contribute to nothing, yet we keep on going with the flow.

Purpose has died, yet death is so slow.

We continue to dig and dig and dig the hole.

When the end seems near and it's time to go.

A new one takes over and continues the flow.

The coal keeps burning, does it ever get old?

We'll always be too weak and frail and small to revolt.
